The centrifugal separators from GEA specialize in the purification of fuel and lube oil as well as bilge water treatment and sludge removal in marine applications. During its 50-year experience in cathodic protection, E. Polipodio has been able to collect data and specific experiences that have allowed the company to go through all the aspects linked to the corrosion of metallic surfaces in contact with salt water.
Always looking for innovative new products, the company has embarked on the road of sea protection, proposing technologies to fight pollution caused by oil spills. The range of products and services includes equipment for containment, collection and storage of oil, maintenance and training of personnel for oil spill recovery operations according to international regulations IMO. In collaboration with engineering offices and shipyards is able to make projects for oil spill recovery vessels. It can also provide consulting for contingency plans and find solutions for oily and waste water treatment plants for industrial applications.
Marine ropes
We offer a wide range of different types of marine ropes due to our partnership with Lanex, a world leader company for ropes manufacturing. Thanks to their resistance, reliance and cost in these years we have satisfied our clients with different solutions for every type of necessities and work environment. Made of different materials, from Polypropylene to combinations of Polypropylene/Polyester and Polyethylene fiber are available in different strands (3,8,12), diameters and length and can be chosen and quickly shipped from our warehouse through our e-store. All ropes are provided with Type Approval Certificates.
ACO Marine Products
Wastewater treatment plants
The ACO wastewater and sewage treatment plants are fully certified to the IMO MEPC 227 (64) including the section 4.2 standards and to EC MED Module B for all ships which intend to discharge treated sewage effluent into the sea and are certified by Bureau Veritas.
ACO CLARIMAR MF are biological sewage treatment plants incorporating Bio-Sword filtration technology eliminating the requirements of settling and chlorination stages. Disinfection is by in-line mounted UV lamp with no requirement for chemicals in any part of the process.
ACO MARIPUR NF are advanced membrane wastewater treatment systems with the highest standard for all marine applications. They are type approved to IMO MEPC 227(64) including section 4.2 for passenger vessels operating in IMO designated special areas.
Grease management
Galley water must first pass through a Grease Separator unit before entering any membrane wastewater treatment plant as fats can have an averse effect on membrane performance.
ACO LIPATOMAT/LIPATOR are proven products for fats, oil and greases removal from Galley water.
ACO BIOLOGICAL GREASE TRAPS work on the same principle of gravity separation and use the biological activator to break the long molecular chain into a manageable solution to be discharged safely into the drainage system. The activator introduces other microorganisms that actively feed on the fats present in the solution.

ACO PowerVAC is a vacuum pumping unit which forms the centrepiece of the centralised vacuum toilet collection and transfer system.
ACO PUSH FIT PIPE SYSTEM offers a complete range of discharge pipes and fittings made of stainless steel (ACP PIPE) and galvanised steel (ACO GM-X). Thanks to the push-fit joint system, an almost seamless pipe run is achieved.
